 Younger Chemists Committee Minimize

About Us

The Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) advocates for and provides resources to early-career chemists and professionals in the chemical sciences and related fields.  Its mission is to address the needs of younger chemists (35 and below) in the Society through programming and support activities, which includes social events, technical presentations, and professional development.

Our goal is to address specific issues facing younger chemists and serve as a voice in the ACS on behalf of younger chemists, thus making the Society relevant to early-career chemists.  We hope to help integrate younger chemists into the profession and increase involvement in all levels of the ACS.

Race for the Cure

All runners, aspiring runners and walkers are welcome to join the ACS-GHS team to run the Race for the Cure on October 5th.  The point is for us to get together and have some fun.  No pressure to run fast and no pressure to fundraise - but please try, it's for cancer research! To join our team, go to  http://www.komen-houston.org/. Under Register, click "join a team" then search for American Chemical Society.  Any questions, please contact Catherine Faler cafaler@gmail.com. If you are unable to run with us, please consider making a donation or joining the runners at the after-party (TBA).
