Purpose. To provide recognition to a Younger Chemist for meritorious contributions to the welfare and distinction of the Section, as demonstrated by contributions to education, research, Sectional service or community service.
Nature. The award consists of an ACS major award plaque and is presented in at the section's fall Awards Banquet.
Establishment and support. The award was established in 2010 by vote of the Section Executive Board and is supported by Section funds.
Rules of Eligibility. A nominee must be an ACS member who resides within the Section. The nominee must be age 35 or less as of December 31 of the award year. Contributions recognized by the award must have been performed while the recipient was a resident of the Section area.
Nominations close September 30(extended)
Nomination package requires the following:
- Nomination letter, not exceeding two pages.
- Two seconding letters - each containing information which is significantly different from each other and the nominating letter
- Nominee's Resume/Curriculum Vitae
